Transforming an Overgrown Property

A customer in Ferryville, WI, reached out to us after purchasing a property that needed significant clearing and cleanup. He wanted to transform the overgrown land into a functional getaway where he could easily park his camper. Before finding us, he contacted several other contractors who either turned the job down because it was “too big of a mess” or stopped responding.

We stacked the larger logs off to the side, making them easily accessible for future firewood. At the same time, we mulched the smaller tops and brush to efficiently clean up the property.

We also removed the hidden stumps and regraded the bottom yard to open up the available space. By removing these obstacles, we created a cleaner and more functional area for the camper and outdoor activities.

Improving Access and Trails

Next, we focused on creating safe and reliable access for the camper. We cut in a proper approach and carefully shaped the area to ensure everything worked properly.

We also forestry mulched approximately two acres of hillside to clean up the surrounding property. Additionally, we refreshed the existing trails and added a connecting path to improve access throughout the land.

Creating a Functional Driveway

Originally, the plan was simply to gravel the road and parking pad for the camper. However, we suggested adding a wrap-around drive around the fire pit to bring the entire space together.

As a result, the additional drive created a more functional layout and gave the property a much more finished appearance. The new design also made it easier to navigate around the fire pit and access different areas of the property.

Preparing for the Future

Finally, we installed electrical service for the camper, making the property more convenient and functional for the owners. At the same time, the electrical improvements help prepare the site if they decide to build on the property in the future.
